This course provides an opportunity for registered pharmacists, particularly those from rural and remote areas, to develop clinical pharmacy skills and qualifications in clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice research by offering a flexible education program delivered online.

Career outcomes
Pharmacy practice is changing with time. Pharmacists are becoming more involved in day to day management of complex diseases including working as clinical consultants managing drug therapy regimens, providing leadership in clinical trials and research in pharmaceutical industry and healthcare organisations, and providing professional clinical services within community pharmacy settings.This course will broaden your pharmacy career opportunities. It can also act as a pathway to the Graduate Diploma or Master of Clinical Pharmacy.

Entry requirements
To be eligible for an offer applicants must have:
- An AQF 7 or above Bachelor level degree in Pharmacy from an Australian Pharmacy Council APC accredited undergraduate program from UTAS or another university or tertiary institution that is deemed equivalent.
- Evidence of current AHPRA registration under the General Registration Type for the profession of Pharmacist, without conditions or notations, or equivalent evidence of registration in another country. AHPRA registrations will be confirmed and applicants with conditions or notations will be referred to the School for review.
To be eligible for an offer applicants must have:

- International applicants are required to meet the English Language test requirement of IELTS 7.0 with no individual band less than 7.0.

Completion of the Graduate Certificate will allow articulation into the Graduate Diploma of Clinical Pharmacy or Master of Clinical Pharmacy with advanced standing (50 credit points)

Domestic students
Commonwealth supported places (CSP) are available for this course. For eligible domestic students, this means your fees will be subsidised by the Australian Government. You’ll only need to pay the student contribution amount for each unit you study within the course.

HECS-HELP loans
You may be able to defer payment of the student contribution amount by accessing a HECS-HELP loan from the Government. If eligible, you’ll only have to pay your tuition fees once you start earning above a specific amount.

International students
2027 Total Tuition Fee (international students): $17,725 AUD*
Tuition fee based on a rate of $35,450 AUD per standard, full-time year of study (100 credit points).
* Please note that this is an indicative fee only.
International students are charged the Student Services and Amenities Fee but this fee is incorporated in the annual rate. International students do not have to make any additional SSAF payments.
