The economy — environment nexus research

How can we achieve economic prosperity in our regions while preserving and protecting our natural environments?

Through research at the College of Business and Economics we are identifying ways for the economy and environment to sustainably co-exist.

We focus on interactions between the economy and the environment and consider issues around the finance and management of environmental risk, monitoring the impact of business activities on the environment and society, and measuring the social and economic impacts of environmental policies and programs.

Our researchers are also interested in how we incorporate environmental values into decision-making and adapting consumer and business practices to environmental change.
