Dean of TSBE Merit Scholarship


The Dean of TSBE’s Merit Scholarship is offered by the Tasmanian School of Business & Economics (TSBE) to encourage high performing international students from around the world to study at the University of Tasmania in 2021.

TSBE offers a curriculum that is driven by leading-edge research in business and economics, and the future needs of business, industry and professional bodies. TSBE’s curriculum is delivered using contemporary teaching approaches and offers a range of authentic work integrated learning experience with a strong grounding in modern business practices.


Available to high achieving (offshore or onshore) international students who have an offer of a full-time place in a TSBE undergraduate, honours or postgraduate coursework degree (excluding Master of Professional Accounting, Master of Professional Accounting Specialisation, and double degrees with other colleges), commencing in 2021. As grading scales vary from country to country, interested applicants/agents should contact their In-Country Manager or Regional Development Manager regarding detailed eligibility requirements.

Bachelor of Economics: Special consideration will be given to applicants for the Bachelor of Economics degree in 2021. Limited number of scholarships available. Applicants who have completed their studies in another country will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Students who do not meet the eligibility requirements for this scholarship will also be assessed for a Tasmanian International Scholarship (TIS).

Ongoing Eligibility

To maintain this scholarship students are required to achieve a Credit (5.0/7.0) cumulative grade point average (CGPA) at the end of each study period.


Each scholarship covers 50% of registered tuition fees for the duration of the course.
