Performing can be a terrifying and confronting experience for everyone. It could be playing for friends or family, in an exam, competition, audition, or in front of a full concert hall.
Anxiety, nerves, and fear are a common experience for almost every performer on the planet. Self-doubt, negative self-criticism, and low confidence can be crippling.
Join Mark Bain, TSO Trumpet, AMEB Tasmania Brass Examiner, and founder of Performance Under Pressure, as he shares his expertise in overcoming nerves to perform at your peak.
Mark will also work with four lucky performers in a one-hour workshop following the presentation. Priority will be given to residents of Tasmania. Webinar attendees are welcome to stay on for the workshop to pick up even more pro tips.

About Mark Bain
Following his Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours at the Australian National University School of Music in Canberra, Mark moved to overseas to pursue post-graduate studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst, Frankfurt am Main.
Mark joined the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra as Tutti Trumpet in 2011 and has performed with professional orchestras from around Australia and the world.With a passion for music education, Mark has held teaching positions at Australian National University School of Music, Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst, University of Tasmania Conservatorium of Music; and Australian Youth Orchestra as guest tutor for the Young Symphonists program. Since 2012 he has been Brass Examiner for AMEB Tasmania.
Since Performance Under Pressure was founded in 2019, Mark has delivered presentations and masterclasses throughout Australia. His coaching has helped musicians to dramatically improve their performances and achieve amazing results!
