Course objectives
The aim of the honours year is to enable students to develop further their interests and research skills and to provide a foundation for postgraduate study in the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics (TSBE).
Course structure
Students may elect to pursue one of the fields of study identified in accordance with the requirements for that field of study as outlined below.
The award of honours is given in relation to the whole of the year's work. The award is graded as follows - First Class; Second Class, upper division; Second Class, lower division; or Third Class.

Entry requirements
Eligibility
Entry to the BBus Honours program is open to students who have completed the Bachelor of Business (or equivalent approved qualification) with an average of distinction or higher in at least 50% of the final year units of the pass degree.
Honours candidates in Management require an average of credit or higher for the 200 and 300 level units forming the relevant major(s) in their degree. Candidates in Management must also have passed the unit BMA331 Marketing Research or an acceptable equivalent unit.
Articulation from
Graduates of BBus, BEc, BBus-LLB, BTourism or a BBA degree may seek enrolment in BBus (Hons).
Articulation to
The BBus (Hons) may lead to a coursework masters degree or to one or both of the research higher degrees - a Master of Commerce and /or a PhD.

Fees & scholarships
Domestic students
Domestic students enrolled in a full fee paying place are charged the Student Services and Amenities Fee but this fee is incorporated in the fees you pay for each unit you enrol in. Full fee paying domestic students do not have to make any additional SSAF payments.

International students
2020 Total Course Fee (international students): $30,950 AUD*.
Course cost based on a rate of $30,950 AUD per standard, full-time year of study (100 credit points).
* Please note that this is an indicative fee only.
International students
International students are charged the Student Services and Amenities Fee but this fee is incorporated in the annual rate. International students do not have to make any additional SSAF payments.
