Course objectives
The objectives of this course are to enable you to:
- Confidently initiate conversations about CAM use
- Determine the appropriateness of CAMs for your patients in light of other available treatment
options and safety issues, - Apply the principles of evidence-based medicine to the CAM domain, and
- Utilise CAMs, where clinically appropriate, to assist in the management of common clinical
conditions.
Career outcomes
This qualification is intended to augment the practice of registered health professionals and improve their ability to practise integrative medicine
Professional Recognition
This qualification will enable registered health professionals to expand their competence and scope ofpractice into complementary and alternative medicines. Participants in the course will be able to count their time commitment towards their Continuing Professional Development requirements.

Entry requirements
Eligibility
The required prerequisite is an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification from a tertiary institution, in a health-related discipline. 'Health-related discipline' refers to any health profession that is part of the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme and represented by a National Board. Applicants with other qualifications and expertise will be considered for admission, but may be required to complete appropriate bridging units.
Articulation to
Graduate Diploma in Evidence-Based Complementary Medicines or Masters in Evidence-Based Complementary Medicines
Fees & scholarships
Domestic students
Domestic students enrolled in a full fee paying place are charged the Student Services and Amenities Fee but this fee is incorporated in the fees you pay for each unit you enrol in. Full fee paying domestic students do not have to make any additional SSAF payments.
