The Aurora Australis, or Southern Lights, is one of Tasmania's most spectacular natural wonders. We've got a great view from most of the state.

Tune in on Monday 19 September from 2:00-2:30 pm (AEST) to watch Dr Lisa-ann Gershwin from the Glow Show Tasmania talk about how it happens, why it appears differently through a camera lens, and how different colours occur.

Lisa will also take part in a live Q&A with UCTV host Dr Louise Grimmer, answering questions submitted by students during the show.

The broadcast is aimed at young people in Years 5 and 6.

UCTV Alive for Kids is an interactive online broadcast developed by the Peter Underwood Centre at the University of Tasmania to provide children and young people with fun, extra-curricular learning opportunities.

The broadcast is delivered via Zoom Webinar, with appropriate child safe protocols in place. There is no video/audio of the interactions from participants, and only the host and presenter can see the questions being submitted.
