What to expect?
π« We will take a short walk to do some wildlife spotting, where we regularly see pademelons, micro bats and possums.
π« Then we'll go inside the hut with the fire burning and make some hot drinks and have some sweet treats.
π« We will spend most of the time stargazing aided by a high powered laser pointer.
π« You are encouraged to download the "Sky tonight" app on your phone to help improve the experience.
π« We will explore the southern night sky, starting with the Moon and our solar system.
π« Depending on the time of year we may be able to see other planets in our solar system.
π« Then we’ll look further out to the milky way and into deep space.
π« If you're lucky we may get to see the nuyina / aurora.
Accessibility:
Basic fitness, easy walking level. We will spend an extended period outside in the cold and advise you to pack your warmest clothing. π§£βοΈπ§€
