University of Tasmania experts have joined some of Australia and New Zealand’s best research minds in Hobart this week to speak about sustainability for health professions, as part of the Australian & New Zealand Association for Health Professional Educators (ANZAHPE) 2018 Conference.
Convened by University of Tasmania Head of Medicine Professor Ben Canny, the conference will include presentations by invited speakers Associate Professor Katherine Barraclough (Nephrology, Royal Melbourne Hospital); Dr Rakesh Patel (Nephrology, University of Nottingham Medical School, UK) and Professor Lara Varpio (Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, USA)
The will also be workshops and presentations by a long list of University of Tasmania health experts and educators from across the State.
“This is a leading conference of health professions educators,” Professor Canny said.
“It brings together some of the top experts in the field to focus on contemporary issues in health professions education, including interprofessional education, assessment, communication, research and scholarship.”
The conference runs until Wednesday 4 July.
