Looking to bolster your studies and get more from work you're already doing? Earning bonus TCE Points is easy! All you have to do is achieve an eligible AMEB exam, provide us with a couple of details, and you're on your way!
Which AMEB exams are eligible?
All practical exams from Grade 4 upwards are eligible, as are theory exams from Grade 2 and up. That's every syllabus across AMEB, Rockschool, and PAA. And it doesn't matter if you choose to do a Comprehensive or a Repertoire exam (Rockschool Grade or Performance Certificate), or even if you do your exam in person or online - the qualification is the same. That's around 600 different exams that could earn you points!
How do I claim my bonus TCE Points?
It's easy. Just include a couple of details in your exam enrolment so that we can report your exam achievement and match it with your TASC records. We get most of the details we need in your normal enrolment but the TQA also ask us for your (the Candidate's) postal address and your TASC ID (if you know it). At the end of the year, around TCE exam time, we send a report to TASC with these details and the qualifications that you've achieved in the year.
Can I claim TCE Points for an exam I did in the past?
You sure can! Our dedicated TASC recognition page has instructions on how to do that.
How many points could my exam get me?

Wondering what all the initialisms are? Here's a quick glossary to help. TCE is the Tasmanian Certificate of Education, which is the qualification awarded to students who complete years 11 and 12 at high school or college. TASC is the Tasmanian Assessment, Standards and Certification and they check the various qualifications and activities that combine to achieve the TCE. TQA is the Tasmanian Qualifications Authority, who run TASC.
