Nursing, Paramedicine and Laboratory Medicine students
NSW Health requires all students attending placement in their facilities to complete mandatory training modules online via their learning platform ‘My Health Learning’.
Students will be notified of access to this system 13 days prior to placement commencing via an email from NSW Health to their University of Tasmania email account.
This email will include your NSW Health StaffLink ID, required to access the system, and important information on how to set up a My Learning Online account. Students should keep their StaffLink ID number safe and secure. If students do not receive this email, they should check their junk mail. (Note: this number will follow you in any future employment with NSW Health)
Once students have access to the system, the mandatory modules should appear on their home screen. The required modules are:
- Hazardous Manual Tasks
- Privacy Module 1 - Know your boundaries
- Introduction to Work Health and Safety
- Hand Hygiene
- Between the Flags - Tier 1 (Awareness Charts and Escalation)
- Cyber Security Fundamentals
- Infection Prevention and Control Practices (Clinical)
- Personal protective equipment for combined transmission-based precautions
On completion of the online modules, students should save a soft copy of each certificate, and may be asked to present a hard copy on the first day of placement.
Students DO NOT have access to any of the Infection Control or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) modules in the My Health Learning system. Students can access these modules on HETI Moodle
All information on how to create NSW Health StaffLink account and how to access My Health Learning is available at HETI:E-Learning for students
PLEASE NOTE: This system is not managed by or accessible to University of Tasmania staff. If you are having trouble accessing the system, please refer to the above link for further information.
