Building new connections with project Vietnam Bamboo

The group was the first to venture to the Southeast Asian country as part of a new project called Vietnam Bamboo.

It was a colloboration between the university, the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture, and Sydney architecture firm Cave Urban, which was the bamboo-brain behind The Hothouse at Dark Mofo 2015.

The project saw the group, plus three teachers, spend 27 days in Vietnam, becoming acquainted with bamboo as a connection to environment, and as a building tool.
