Willow Court asylum masterplan

Dr Helen Norrie’s continuing involvement with the New Norfolk community has involved a series of community presentations of a new vision for the former Willow Court asylum. Working with the New Norfolk Council and community over the last two years, Dr Norrie has been central to catalysing the community vision for the site, which includes a broader masterplan for the connection between the site and the town, drawing on the site’s unique and significant past history as a continuously run asylum from 1830 until its closure in 2000, and establishing new uses that can support the community into the future
