Introduction

Students select a topic in negotiation with an appropriate staff member from one of the main areas of School expertise (History of Philosophy; European Philosophy; Applied Philosophy and Ethics; Logic and Philosophy of Science; Gender Studies; Buddhist Philosophy and Philosophy of Religion). Students undertake research, mainly by means of guided reading and writing, towards the completion of one or more essays on this topic under the supervision of the staff member with whom the topic has been negotiated.
