This unit is a core unit in the M7Q Master of Professional Psychology degree.

Introduction

Professional Practicum 2 will provide students with an opportunity to observe and practice the application of psychology in a structured and supervised setting.  The practicum will promote a scientist-practitioner model of the professional psychologist with an increasing level of independence. Students will be expected to consider therapeutic issues and apply techniques while on field placement. This will be reflected in their interaction with clients, standard of case formulations, and demonstrated understanding of assessment and the therapeutic process.  At the end of this placement students will have completed the requisite hours of supervised placement experience and client contact.
