Sculpture 2A FSS214

This unit is being phased out, no new enrolments are being taken.

Introduction

Sculpture 2A will diversify and broaden your capacity to understand and engage with the world of materials and process. Through group and individual tasks in material engagement, you will develop your ability to explore, experiment, investigate and reflect, towards developing your own expression and practice.
Students are expected to research, develop and document studio-based activities and become increasingly competent in discussing their work. The emphasis in Sculpture 2A is on exploring new mediums, materials and techniques with a view to developing a disciplined work practice. This unit is focused on student directed, independent learning (and thinking) through the creation of speculative artworks. Study of this unit will involve self-directed investigation, studio-based sharing, presentations and a final folio submission.
