This interdisciplinary course is offered part-time only over 1 year or 2 semesters. It is open to all health professionals employed or wishing to be employed in an educational capacity within the clinical area. The maximum time for completion is 3 years. The course is offered from Launceston, Hobart, Cradle Coast and interstate.

Please note that Graduate programs are offered subject to student demand and the availability of School of Nursing resources.

The School of Nursing, in collaboration with cooperating health care agencies, aims to create an educational environment which values critical, reflective thinking, life-long learning, acquisition of generic attributes and professional development.  The primary course objective is to equip students with the fundamental knowledge, skills, capabilities and awareness to deliver flexible learning and use simulation in their teaching practice.

Entry requirements

To be eligible for an offer, applicants must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree, or higher, and be working in a health care setting (this includes but is not limited to a hospital, a GP clinic, aged care setting, primary health care, department of community services).

Fees & scholarships

Domestic students

Domestic students enrolled in a full fee paying place are charged the Student Services and Amenities Fee but this fee is incorporated in the fees you pay for each unit you enrol in. Full fee paying domestic students do not have to make any additional SSAF payments.
