You will also gain an understanding of the differences between pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics, how medications are absorbed, distributed, and metabolised, and learn to develop individual patient medication management plans.
Your studies will incorporate the principles of medication management from neonatal, paediatrics through to the older persons, and includes cultural and indigenous considerations of medication use and prescribing.

Entry requirements
Eligibility
To be eligible for an offer an applicant:
- Must be practicing as a Registered Nurse for a minimum of two years (24 months) prior to commencement of the course, AND
- Must provide evidence of Registration as a Registered Nurse and or Midwife with no restrictions or conditions with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, AND
- Must provide a personal statement in eApplication, or a CV or Resume which states the speciality practice area in which the applicant works as a Registered Nurse and for the length of time.
Fees & scholarships
Domestic students
Domestic students enrolled in a full fee paying place are charged the Student Services and Amenities Fee but this fee is incorporated in the fees you pay for each unit you enrol in. Full fee paying domestic students do not have to make any additional SSAF payments.
