This course is designed to advance the skill base for those who manufacture, design with, and use the material or who maintain timber infrastructure. It will provide participants with the understanding and skills necessary to process, use and maintain the material efficiently and economically.
Course objectives
The Graduate Certificate in Timber (Processing & Building) aims to develop advanced understanding and skill in the:
- role of timber and wood products as renewable resource for society;

With recent consolidation in Australia's wood production industry, there is considerable industry and employer demand for people skilled in the production of wood products. Also, with increased interest in sustainable construction, opportunities exist for specialists in the design, construction, maintenance and management of timber-rich buildings and structures.

Fees & scholarships
Domestic students
This is a full-fee course, which means you’ll need to pay the full amount for your studies. Commonwealth Supported Places are not available in this course. However, there are still support options available for eligible students to help you manage the cost of studying this course.
You may be able to fund all or part of your tuition fees by accessing a FEE-HELP loan from the Australian Government. FEE-HELP is a loan scheme that assists domestic full-fee students to pay for University, which is repaid through the Australian Tax System once you earn above a repayment threshold. This means you’ll only have to start repaying the loan once you start earning above a specific amount
