The Centre for Rural Health, UTAS is pleased to present a FREE Workshop: Communicating with Confidence!
Facilitated by staff from the Centre for Rural Health UTAS:
- Heather Bridgman - Clinical Health Psychologist and Lecturer in Rural Mental Health,
- Sharon Dennis - Associate Lecturer Indigenous Health
- Lyndsay Quarmby - Clinical Psychologist and Lecturer in Rural Allied Health
Health professionals and welfare workers are faced with daily challenges with communicating with a range of consumers and colleagues. This highly interactive workshop aims to improve communication skills and confidence. Topics covered include:
- Recognising helpful and unhelpful communication styles
- Managing challenging communication situations
- Communicating with Cultural Competence
- Taking care of yourself
This workshop will suit health and welfare professionals (youth workers, support workers, allied health and medical professionals) and students wanting to improve their communication skills and implement these in the workplace when working with consumers.
Lunch, including tea and coffee will be included.
