Want to further your understanding of complementary medicine?
Vitamins, Supplements and Herbal Medicine is a unit offered within the Associate Degree in Health and Community care. It is a fully online unit designed for people who want to increase their knowledge about complementary medicines (herbal medicines, nutritional and dietary supplements), and ensure that they are used in ways that will enhance their health and wellbeing.
In this unit you will learn about the most commonly used classes of complementary medicines, and how they are regulated in Australia. You will learn about the safety of complementary medicines, where and how to find reliable information on them, about using them safely with other medicines, and more.

Online: Vitamins, Supplements and Herbal Medicine is a fully online unit with 7 modules. Learn through engagement with recorded lectures, discussion forums, print and multi-media learning resources.

To take advantage of this opportunity students will need to be enrolled in the Associate Degree in Health and Community Care. After completing Vitamins, Supplements and Herbal Medicine, the opportunity exists to undertake further units within the Associate Degree in Health and Community Care. Students undertaking units within the Associate Degree in Health and Community Care are eligible for a HECS Scholarship and SSAF exemption on a maximum of two eligible units.
