The Graduate Certificate in Maritime and Logistics Management will provides the analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage transport and logistics activities. It is a great way to advance your career if you’re looking to acquire skills relevant to the maritime transport and logistics industries.
Taught by the Australian Maritime College, you will gain valuable industry insights with the ability to develop solutions for complex problems faced by organisations engaged in domestic and international markets. You’ll undertake four units related to maritime and logistics topics like supply chain management, maritime policy, international trade, maritime law and business logistics, which will provide a qualification that suits your interests and desired career path.

The maritime transport and logistics sectors employ a workforce of more than a half million across Australia. After completing this course, you will gain knowledge across key industry issues such as shortage of empty shipping containers, equipment and labour shortages, as well as truck/transport capacity constraints. Graduates pursue careers in shipping companies, ports and terminals, government agencies, freight and logistics companies.

Entry requirements
Eligibility
An undergraduate degree of an Australian higher education institution or the equivalent standard in any other institution
or
Hold a professional qualification such as a Certificate of Competency as a Master Class 1 (Unlimited) or Engineer Class 1/Chief Engineer (Unlimited)
or
if a first degree or professional qualification is not held, prospective candidates may apply to the Department of Maritime and Logistics Management for consideration.
These applicants are assessed on their work experience and current managerial responsibilities; a GMAT assessment may be required
International students with English as a second language will need to have a minimum IELTS score of 6.0, with no band less than 6.0. For full details on the English requirements refer to International General Entrance Requirements.

Successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Maritime and Logistics Management results in credit for 4 units in the Graduate Diploma of Maritime and Logistics Management or Master of Business Administration (Maritime and Logistics Management) or the Master of Business Administration (Advanced) (MLM).
Fees & scholarships
Domestic students
Domestic students enrolled in a full fee paying place are charged the Student Services and Amenities Fee but this fee is incorporated in the fees you pay for each unit you enrol in. Full fee paying domestic students do not have to make any additional SSAF payments.

International students
2021 Total Course Fee (international students): $16,500 AUD*.
Course cost based on a rate of $33,000 AUD per standard, full-time year of study (100 credit points).

Fees for domestic students are based on individual unit selections. Please refer to the fees section of each unit description to work out an indicative annual cost. For domestic students this course is offered on a full fee paying basis.
International students should refer to the International Students course fees page to get an indicative course cost.
