The University of Tasmania Tax Clinic is a community service focused on providing our community with free Tax advice while allowing our students the opportunity to develop their skills.

Supported by the ATO, and under guidance from our experienced educators, students can provide you with quality tax advice related to everything from:

  • Annual Tax Returns
  • Small Business Enquiries
  • Advocacy on tax regulation and legislation and Centrelink Payments
  • Centrelink assistance and payments
  • Superannuation and retirement
  • Pension related issues or concerns
  • A range of other enquiries

    • Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT)
    • Capital Gain Tax (CGT)

  3. Centrelink assistance and payments
  4. Advocacy in the tax regulation and legislation
  5. Dispute Assist and private rulings
    • Applying for remissions of penalties
    • Negotiating a payment plan with the Tax Office
  6. Individual tax return
  7. Lodgement obligation of Small Business Entities (SBE)
  8. Pension related issues or concerns
