The Mike Shield Award (Planning)

The Mike Shield Award is named in honour of long-serving Planning Institute of Australia member and local planner, Mike Shield. It is awarded to the student graduating in the calendar year of the award who has achieved the best overall academic performance in the Master of Planning within the School of Geography, Planning, and Spatial Sciences, and who is anticipated to be a resident of Tasmania in the year following the award.

Commendation awarded to the highest performing student graduating with a Graduate Diploma of Environmental Planning in the calendar year.

Graduates from semesters 1 and 2 are considered for both the award and the commendation.
